EA Sports FC 24 is an association football video game, developed by EA Vancouver and EA Romania and published by EA Sports serving as the inaugural installment in the EA Sports FC series following the conclusion of EA's partnership with FIFA, and the 31st overall installment, and is set to launch worldwide on 29 September 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. Although intentionally undefined, EA's marketing implies that 'FC' stands for 'Football Club' - "Created for fans by fans, EA SPORTS FC is a new Football Club for the future of football we want to build together."

Cover art
The cover for the Standard Edition of the game features Manchester City striker Erling Haaland. The cover for Ultimate Edition of the game features 31 iconic former and current players from around the world. Among these notable figures are Vinícius Júnior, Sam Kerr, Marta, Ronaldinho, Marquinhos, Virgil van Dijk, Son Heung-min, Erling Haaland, Marcus Rashford, Johan Cruyff, Jude Bellingham, Alexander Isak, Zinedine Zidane, Pelé, Andrea Pirlo, David Beckham and Bukayo Saka.

Features
The Nintendo Switch version of the game runs on the Frostbite game engine for the first time, providing similar gameplay to the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game. Switch entries since FIFA 20 had been widely criticised for being released as Legacy Editions; versions of the game where kits, rosters, and stadiums were updated from the previous release, but added no new gameplay features. EA Sports FC 24 introduces a full Ultimate Team experience and VOLTA Football to the Switch. Despite this, it does not support cross-platform play with either PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.

HyperMotion V
EA Sports FC 24 features "HyperMotion V" technology, which uses volumetric data captured by cameras around stadiums from over 180 top-tier matches including the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Women's Champions League, Premier League, and La Liga. The "Advanced 11v11 Match Capture" data is used to teach EA Sports FC's proprietary machine learning algorithms, resulting in over 11,000 in-game animations compared to over 6,000 in FIFA 23.

AcceleRATE 2.0
The AcceleRATE 2.0 system divides player movement into seven different archetypes, more than double the amount featured in FIFA 23. The three base Acceleration Types featured are "Controlled", "Explosive", and "Lengthy". Most players fall under the "Controlled" type, and accelerate in a uniform and controlled manner. "Explosive" players are shorter and more agile than other players, resulting in a greater initial burst of acceleration after which they slow down. Taller and stronger players are classified as "Lengthy", starting slower but are able to thrive over long distances. EA Sports FC 24 introduces four new types to represent more player movement styles: "Controlled Explosive" (50% Controlled, 50% Explosive), "Mostly Explosive" (70% Explosive, 30% Controlled), "Controlled Lengthy" (50% Controlled, 50% Lengthy), and "Mostly Lengthy" (70% Lengthy, 30% Controlled).

Clubs and VOLTA Football
The combined Clubs and VOLTA Football mode introduces cross-platform play between users on same-generation consoles, expanding cross-play into all of the game's online multiplayer modes. Users can cross-play between PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Series S, and Windows, while users on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One can cross-play with each other.
